Are you considering getting a dog but don’t know which breed you should get? Or you know which breed you want but you want to know what to expect from that breed? Our website has compiled a great deal of helpful information on dogs to help you make your decision.

What makes our site different from other sites? We will give you the traits of dog breeds in order to help you determine if a particular breed is right for you and your family. We also let you know about the common health problems associated with certain dog breeds. In order to lower your chances of getting a dog which may end up with these health problems, we encourage you to thoroughly review the breeder’s history. Ask why they are breeding. Visit their home or breeding facility. If they deny your request to review their home or breeding facility, this is strong indication that the breeder may be running a puppy mill in which animals are only bred for money and not for the quality of the dog breed.

We have gathered our information on dogs from multiple sources including but not limited to AKC breed clubs, Animal Behavior College of which some members of our staff study with, “Encyclopedia of Dog Breeds” by Ernest H. Hart, “The Complete Book of the Dog” by Angela Sayer, “The Dog Breed Bible” by D. Caroline Coile, Ph.D., and from personal experience.

We are constantly updating our site for useful information on dogs so if you own a dog breed which we don’t have listed, or if you own a dog breed in which you would like to share additional information, please feel free to contact us at doginformation@aol.com.
